You can learn with paint with the intention to fire tranquilizers. It could be useful in a moment of self-defense when encountering an enemy that will not wait for us to rap first.

What magic do you have? I have heard that you can infuse magic into weaponry, but my magic doesn't lend itself to it very well.

I do not know much about death magic.
However, I can teach you how to transform into animals if you haven't gotten that far yet. It is an excellent means for stealth and bypassing security. I have yet to find a good way to utilize weaponry with it.

It takes practice. it is more challenging returning to human from the animal state than changing into an animal, so it may take practice. Do not panic if you have trouble. I know a man who can reverse it in the worst case scenario.

Yes. That is how I know alternative means to solve the problem before you learn how to transform out. I was stuck as a Flemish Giant Rabbit for a time.

A flemish giant rabbit is a real rabbit type that grows to weigh up to 10kg.

Yes.
Many larger animals are predators and would have caused a panic. It was important to find an animal that both did not inspire fear or ire and was capable of gaining attention.
