[ In that case, he needs to just play normally. This is not a competition in which he needs to find a means to destroy the enemy even if it involves awkward positions. They're just spending time together. Riou nods. ]
Understood. It's more difficult if I can't gain line of sight. It makes me want to go back to using laser-guided scopes.
[ Riou doesn't need a laser any more with a sniper rifle, but a pool stick would be nice. Even so, he moves to do his next shot regularly. No success, Doumeki's turn. ]
[ Ah, he's glad that seems to have worked. He's going to have to pick a different game next time, though darts are likely to be just as uneven, given Riou's obvious expertise with precision weapons. ]
A laser sight on a pool stick might be useful.
[ Yeah, this is a totally normal thought to have, I guess. Doumeki had only tried larger weapons in his academy days, but it's certainly worth considering. Maybe he's going about this the wrong way. If he thinks of the stick light a weapon's sight...
He sets up his shot lower to the ground this time, lining up the shot with his training in mind. That works, actually. He sinks the next one, then the following, missing on the third attempt as the cue ball ricochets off the intended pocket. ]
Next time we do this, I'll see to obtaining and modifying two of them.
[ Riou is a fan of DIY, he would be happy to make this game more intense if no one stops him. For the time being, Riou takes his turn as well, and they continue playing the game in relative until there are only a couple of balls left unless Doumeki has something else to say. ]
[ Doumeki nods. He'd like to see that, honestly. The ridiculousness of the situation doesn't strike him as particularly noteworthy, but then he reacts to most things with the same calm expression as always. Their game goes on much the same, quiet and alternating shots until only the eight and nine balls remain.
Ah, he's still losing, but he's catching up. They'd probably continue in silence, if Doumeki didn't finally ask. ]
[ That's a complicated question. Riou seems to take a moment to think on it. ]
I have Mad Trigger Crew. That is all I need.
[ Riou isn't anyone's special someone, though, and it's hard to call it a partnership when the partnership is more or less Samatoki and Jyuto. Riou is an interesting fellow to both of them, skilled in useful ways, and he knows that he's cared for even if they've known each other for much longer. Riou would die for them. And that's okay. ]
[ Doumeki considers his response. He knows a bit about the Hypmics from Rosho -- well, not directly, but they shared thoughts during the dragon runes, and he's aware that there are groups. Rap groups? Most of it went over his head. ]
I see.
[ Compared to the yakuza, it seems closer. Though for Doumeki, he feels exactly the same way about his boss. He would die for him. Happily. Perhaps a good yakuza would share that level of devotion to the whole family rather than just the boss but... well, Doumeki has a long way to go. ]
[ Doumeki nods. That can't be easy, Riou doesn't have to say more for him to understand. If he lost Yashiro... he'd probably crash and reboot, going on as normal while broken up inside. ]
How do you...
[ Doumeki stops mid-though, leaning on his pool stick. Words are hard. ]
[ Doumeki takes another pause. This one goes on for a bit longer, but the thought of leaving and coming back, or leaving at all, is one he takes seriously. ]
[ King Records said it's not MTC's turn to use the Xbox. ]
Oh.
[ That's the first he's heard of someone disappearing like that, he didn't even realize that was a possibility... ]
I see.
[ Well, that means he can't ask him about what forgetting stuff is like... Though he's already led the conversation here, so he should probably keep it going. ]
I am worried about what will happen, if I leave and forget.
I do not think anyone forgets. Jyuto believes it's more likely we're from parallel versions of each others' worlds. It makes more sense than no one realizing we are gone because an entire world's time has been frozen while we are here.
[ Or he's just agreeing because it's Jyuto and he doesn't like the idea of forgetting. There's really no evidence of any theory being accurate, so he's selecting the one that he likes best. ]
[ Doumeki pauses. Parallel dimensions and that kind of thing go way over his head, but he does like the thought of not forgetting. If he and Yashiro could go home and remember... that would be much better than the alternative. ]
I would prefer if that were the case.
[ Starting back at 0 would be too much... He couldn't bear it, forgetting all of this. Maybe he'll start believing this theory too. ]
[ Doumeki hums in agreement. He likes this theory, and he can certainly understand wanting to believe something because someone close to you thinks so. ]
Staying here is also not a bad option. I would not mind it.
[ It was more pool for the sake of doing something. In truth, Riou is happy to just enjoy Doumeki's company and their conversation, limited as it is at times. He takes another swig of beer, nodding in agreement. ]
[ Doumeki nods, glad they're in agreement. Of course, this means they're going to just enjoy some more amicable silence now that they're on the same page.
It's fine that they're done with their game, anyway. Doumeki is happy to order another round of beers for them, as long as Riou doesn't mind him paying. ]

I had not thought to think of it as a weapon.

You have a partner, correct?

Are they all here?

[ Riou is still pretty upset about it, but he's neither good at showing or sharing emotions. So this will remain a matter of him stating fact. ]
no subject
How do you...
[ Doumeki stops mid-though, leaning on his pool stick. Words are hard. ]
How long have each of you been in Lunatia?
no subject
[ So at the very least, Riou hasn't had to be alone. He can be strong, even if without them he feels little purpose. ]

Did you forget, while you were gone?

I don't remember leaving. I had disappeared in the middle of something with Samatoki and then woke up in the wilderness again.

Jyuto believes it is true, so it is true. There is no evidence otherwise.
[ No more than any other theory anyway. ]

I would like that, too.
