[ Immediately, there's the sound of scampering paws and claws, then a chorus of "woof-woof-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and a slightly quieter "WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW" greets Sen. Smith and Wesson have different levels of beagle-vs-westie sounds. Riou will take a moment longer, as likely indicated by the breakfast-y scents coming from under the door.
After a moment, the word "Back" can be heard and the dogs stop barking and there's more skittering. Both are behind Riou when he opens the door, his apron on. The pups are both stamping their feet on the ground excitedly, but in place, at seeing Sen. ]
[It's probably a good thing that she brought Colonel, then, thinking the little one would want to see siblings!!! Except as soon as the excitable puppies heard (and probably smelled) their coming, she nearly jumps back from the WOOOOOOOOOO and the WOW WOW that in turn Colonel started doing baby WOWOWOWOWOW as well. Except it's still small...but it misses puppy family.
It's squirming in her arms to get out, and she can't stop Colonel as effectively as Riou with Smith and Wesson, so as soon her opens the door, two excited (but well behaved) doggies encounter a leap from one small pup. Which, now one looks at it, doesn't have the energy as the other dogs. But trying!
Sen should probably pet them too, but she has the food she promied to surprise Riou with in her other hand too. Wonder what it is, when you can't see through the plastic of the container.]
Hello, Riou! Thank you for having us. Something smells good too. [...] And hello to you all too, little ones.
[ Sen can pet them later. Smith and Wesson are both wildly tackling Colonel now, and the three of them are off running back into the apartment to chase each other in excitement. Riou can get them to listen when he's giving orders, but the second something changes they're off to do whatever they want. They're not perfectly trained by any means. These dogs haven't been here long enough to know more than basic commands, after all... ]
[Bye dogs! Have fun! Don't knock everything over! At least there shouldn't be any traps activated now...right? Maybe she should tell Colonel to be good around Riou's house. But the puppies are gone now, leaving a pair of two-legged creatures in their wake.
She walks in now as they have a moment to themselves, and as he suggested, she sits down, placing her container on the table. She'll only reveal the contents once he gets a moment to himself.]
Is there anything you'd like me to help with?
[He did say it was ready very soon, but in case he would like her to help set up the table, bring out anything else.]
[ He doesn't respond, and a few minutes and some clanking later, he comes out with what looks like a scrambled eggs dish. Scrambled eggs, foraged mushrooms, caramelized onions, and some worms. Yum. He sets the plate in front of Sen at the table and another one at the chair across from her. ]
[Alright, that actually smells amazing, even with those worms. She's eat anything, and by that, we really mean almost everything. So she doesn't even look disturbed when she looks at his eggs.]
That smells lovely!
[See? Time to eat these friendly worms.]
As for what I made...
[She opens up her contained. Breakfast is commonly a light dish, and while it's known that snake is meant to warm the blood...well, she made marinated snake.]
I have hunted snakes before, so I found some that were edible.
[Look her other option was crickets but she thought she should bring something more impressive.]
[ Oh good, she seems pleased. Riou looks really interested when she reveals the marinated snake, his eyes widening slightly before he puts on a warm smile. ]
[Let's not talk about the peanut worms she has at home too. Hmm. Either way, she's looking forward to eating it. Before that, she pulls the container in front of him, so it'll be easier for him to eat.]
Of course! I made this all for you. I hope it is to your tastes.
[ He uses the chopsticks that he served with the scramble to pick one up and put it on Sen's plate, then one on his. They can both enjoy both parts of the meal!! He digs right into hers first since he knows what his tastes like.
And after a few seconds lets out a low "Mmm." He likes it. ]
[She thanks him after he serves them! Cute! So she waits a little first before she starts, only because she wants to know what he says when he eats her meal.
And manages a smile, pleased, before she eats his. Nomnomnom--]
The marinade is really good, it brings out the flavor.
[ Snake itself isn't a very flavorful animal, but the way that she prepared it is what really makes the dish he thinks. He's going to fill up on hers before he touches his. ]

[ ...When she comes over. It's kind of a ways off though, since she's not coming over until tomorrow morning. ]

[She would want him to be most comfortable, but can she ever refuse food.]

What are these little worms?
no subject
[ He thinks it's nutty anyway. They're pretty darn good, and have kind of a 'pop' when you bite into them. ]
no subject
It does have a nutty flavour, no wonder it goes so well with these mushrooms. Are they native here as well?
no subject
[ He had to identify his own mushrooms. ]
